What Lodge 45 does with your donations

Community work, a college scholarship, and a support network for officers and their families, right here in Sarasota County.

Community & charitable giving

Lodge funds and volunteer hours go to Sarasota County organizations doing direct, local work.

The annual scholarship

A college scholarship awarded each year to the children and grandchildren of members in good standing, paid directly to the student's institution.

Officer & family support

Cops helping cops: a members-only network for connecting officers who need help with the members who can give it — skills, services, equipment, or a conversation.

Who we help locally

Where the money goes

Lodge 45 keeps its giving inside the community its members patrol. These are the programs we support.

Service Dogs Saving Lives

Service Dogs Saving Lives (SDSL) is a U.S. nonprofit dedicated to funding and providing highly trained service dogs to veterans and first responders experiencing mental health challenges and prior suicidal ideation.

Local LEO families

Direct assistance for officers and families in our own ranks going through injury, illness, or loss.

Get involved with the work

There are three practical ways to put weight behind this lodge, and none of them require a badge except the first.

  • Join. Active and honorably retired officers can become members of the lodge.
  • Give. Donations go straight into the lodge's community and scholarship funds.
  • Offer a skill. Members with a trade, a service, or equipment to lend can register it with the lodge.
